Anniversary Break

Mandy and I celebrate our anniversary each year in a different state.  This year, we travelled to Hot Springs, Arkansas.  We hiked and explored...amazing to just fill water bottles directly from springs! Of course, the "baths" are a major attraction.  Below is one. The town includes a magic theater that had a visiting magician ROKAS (from Lithuania) playing while we were there.  Highly recommended.  He is also incredibly funny.  I believe he will appear in next season's America's Got Talent. And, of course, we had to eat local pizza given the name: Of course, dancing was not forgotten!  I actually practiced every day of the trip.  Not easy in the heat; and the fountain coming from the springs is water over 140 degrees.  I admit to looking a bit wilted 😐    Was nice to be pampered at the baths. Relaxed and pain free; ready to get back to work!!!!!

Caption Contest #2

A second favorite video so far that has had my household laughing... This was after our return from England...learning some of the final sections of the routine.  Turns out I don't remember how to skip.  I have no other real explanation.

A Brief Break in England for Strawberries and Cream

A trip to scout for a study abroad history of statistics course provided a bit of a break from dancing.  My new dance partner, "Bayes"lor Bear? Clearly, punting in Cambridge is important dance preparation. The ballroom of the manor house at Bletchley Park an ideal spot for a quick practice.  In world war two, this room was crowded with the headquarters of the famous code breaking unit. You may recall the movie "The Imitation Game"; I do hope to eventually imitate a dancer (somewhat). Or how about dancing with Big Ben as the backdrop?   You may wonder why I didn't put a hat out... The performance at Chelsea Football Club famous Stamford Bridge stadium was somewhat underwhelming...I was too busy enjoying the visit! But still ends with a flourish: Unfortunately, Christian Pulisic was only days away from no longer playing for the Blues...pretty sure not my fault.😞 AT LAST, the Tate Museum (national art museum that I don't believe is named after Stephanie) provi...

Props

I apologize for falling behind on posts...future posts will provide some explanation of why.   Our last rehearsal in June (yes, way behind!) was partly focused on a few "props" that will be part of the routine.  A bus bench, and suitcases... An early practice with these, can you see the suitcases?  If anyone has small cases circa 1960/70s style...😊. In the next post we find an example in London (England, not Texas).
